VENDEMMIA - ven⋅dem⋅mia \ ven-dém-mia \ (Italian)

VENDEMMIA
ven⋅dem⋅mia \ ven-dém-mia \ (Italian)
The harvesting of grapes for the production of wine

ven⋅dem⋅mia \ ven-dém-mia \ (Italian)
When the grape's life ends and the transformation of its new life begins

You may have noticed by the masthead of our website that the name of our film has changed from “Sciacchtrà” to “Vendemmia”. As this story has evolved, so has the message we want to communicate through its telling.

We felt strongly that “Vendemmia” as a title communicated much more effectively – on a number of levels – what this film is all about. Sciacchetrà – the rare, prize wine produced in the Cinque Terre – is still a very important aspect of this film. In fact, Sciacchetrà has really become its own character. You’ll see what we mean when you see the clips of Nicola Biscardo swirling a glass of it around – as spectacular as we think Nicola is, the glass of Sciacchetrà becomes the star as soon as he pours it.

The name of the film isn’t all that’s changing. We are about to do a complete re-launch of our website and Facebook page (which we hope you will “like”!), and a new trailer and “behind the scenes” section are also coming very soon.

Here’s a peek at the first draft of our new movie poster, designed for us by the talented Bluzette Carline of Trios Design Creative Services. Let us know what you think at info@harvestfilmsproductions.com!

Salute!
